Hello from the rainy Mendocino Coast and Thanksgiving Coffee Company.
Your great adventure lies ahead. Watch out for bandits at night in Guatemala. I kid you not. When you get to Oaxaca and need some contacts , ask me , I have some coffee people you must hang with and if Nicaragua is on your path, I have the contacts that will enable you to experience the Fair trade movement there and to meet the pioneers of the Cooperative movement there and the fighters for the revolution (Sandanista) who are now the leaders of our movement.
Have a sweet time. When in Nicaragua dont forget that their rum is the worlds best(Flor de Cana)

What an adventure! Joe, you went from the Che Guevara look to military crew ;) I know you are enjoying such transformative experiences and this time in life. Live it up and the rest of us will live vicariously through you both for awhile.
Namaste and safe travels.
